Description

On the heraldic shield are placed 3 vertical zigzag silver lines on the azure field, which symbolize the river as a source of hydropower.

Historically, there were a large number of water mills in the municipality that provided opportunities for the development of the metal industry. The ore smelting industry in the kilns operating here is currently developed in Souda.
