Graceful sainfoin , or graceful sainfoin [2] , or Sparrow peas ( lat. Onobrýchis grácilis ) is a species of dicotyledonous plants of the genus Esparcet ( Onobrychis ) of the Legume family ( Fabaceae ) [3] . The taxonomic name was published by the Austrian-Russian botanist Wilibald Gottlibovich Besser in 1822 [4] .

Distributed in the Balkans , in Russia , Syria , Turkey , as well as on the Crimean peninsula [5] .
Perennial herbaceous plant. The leaves are complex, oval or elliptical in shape. Flowers with five petals. The fruit is a bean [2] .
It is used as a fodder plant [6] .
The plant was included in the Red Book of Sevastopol [7] .
