Biography
The son of the scientist Johann Friedrich Jugler. Educated at the University of Gottingen .
From 1784 he worked as a doctor in Boyzenburg on the Elbe , Wittingen , Gifhorn , from 1809 until his death in Luneburg .
Scientific activity
One of the first to engage in studies of the Labab language .
Using the notes of Jan Parum Schulze , he prepared for publication, but never published a work entitled The Complete Luneburg-Vendian Dictionary, composed of three unpublished manuscripts and, until now, little-known collections of Johann Heinrich Jugler, MD, Cour-Hanover Landphysicist in Luneburg, a member of the Erfurt Academy of Applied Sciences, a correspondent for the Göttingen scientific community, and an honorary member of the Natural History Society in Hanover. 1809. In addition to the dictionary, the work contained a large introduction, in which the author outlined everything he knew about the Slavic population of Dannenberg , Lyukhov and Wustrov [2] .
An unpublished manuscript was purchased by the library of the University of Göttingen. Published in the middle of the 20th century, for a long time served as the main source for the study of the Labab language.
