Geography

The settlement is located in the northern part of the district, in the steppe Crimea . It is located on the border with the Krasnogvardeisky district , then, clockwise, it borders on Novoandreevsky , Pervomaisky , Guardsky and Zhuravlevsky rural settlements.

The settlement area is 43.73 km² [1] .

History

 
The building of the village administration

By the decision of the regional executive committee of June 29, 1979, the Shirokovsky village council was formed [12] . Since February 12, 1991, the village council in the restored Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic [13] , on February 26, 1992, was renamed the Autonomous Republic of Crimea [14] . Since March 21, 2014 - as part of the Republic of Crimea of ​​Russia [15] . The Law “On Establishing the Borders of Municipalities and the Status of Municipalities in the Republic of Crimea” of June 4, 2014 declared the territory of an administrative unit as a municipality with the status of a rural settlement [16] .
