At the end of 1962 in the Moscow region was reorganized administrative and territorial division. This was caused by the division of government bodies according to the production principle - industrial and rural [1] . Leninsky enlarged rural area became one of 12 enlarged rural areas, formed in the new borders instead of 34 abolished areas of the Moscow region.

The district was formed in accordance with the joint decision of the executive committees of the industrial and rural regional councils of December 30, 1962 [2] and approved by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of February 1, 1963 [3] , and its composition and administrative-territorial division are determined by the joint decision industrial and rural executive committees of the region of April 27, 1963 [4] .

The district included the territory of 54 village councils of three abolished districts - Podolsk , Serpukhov and Ulyanovsk . The administrative center became the city of Podolsk . The problem of the presence of two Mikhailovskiy village councils was solved by renaming one of them, formerly belonging to the Podolsky district, to Mikhaylovo-Yartsevskiy [5] .

Thus, the Leninskiy enlarged rural area included:

  • Antropovsky, Bryantsevskiy, Velyaminovskiy, Voronovskiy Ugryumovsky and Yamskoy village councils from the Podolsk district ;
  • Arneevskiy, Balkovskiy, Barantsevskiy, Bulychevskiy, Buturlinskiy, Vasilyevskiy, Glazovskiy, Kishinovskiy, Korgashinskiy, Kudaevskiy, Kulakovskiy, Lipitskiy Kishivskiy, Luk'yanovskiy, Nefedovskiy Kishivskiy, Novoselkovskiy, Nefedovskiy Kishinovskiy, Novoselkovskiy, Syanovskiy Shishivskiy Kishivskiy, Novoselkovskiy, Syanovskiy Chystvivskiy Chishivskiy
  • Bulatnikovsky, Volodarsky, Gorkinsky, Picturesky, Mikhailovsky, Molokovsky and Sosensky village councils from the Ulyanovsk district .

The village of Pushchino of the Balkovsky Village Council, classified as a working-class settlement, was removed from the educated district, to which the villages of Mitinka and Kharino of the same village council and the territory of construction of the facilities of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR were transferred. The settlements of Belyaevo and Fedchishchevo of the Kutinsky Village Council were included in the city limits of Podolsk. The village of Mescherino and the territory of sanatorium No. 17 were transferred from Korychevsky from Gorkinsky village settlement, and the village of Kuzmino from Lobanovsky village to Veliyaminovsky [4] .

On January 14, 1964, the settlements of Kuzminskoye Lobanovsky S / s and Akulino Odintsovsky S / s were transferred to the Rastunovsky Village Council [6] . On June 30 of the same year, the village Kuzenevo of Troitsky village village was transferred to Krasnopakhorsky village village community, and the villages of Laptevo and Rastoropovo of Desenovsky village council were returned to Sosensky village village [7] .

At the end of 1964, the division of government bodies according to the production principle was recognized as inexpedient by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of November 21 [8] and the Moscow City Executive Committee's decision of January 11, 1965 [9] that fulfilled it by the Moscow Region, was abolished and the usual areas were restored in particular, Podolsky, Serpukhovsky, Chekhovsky and the newly formed Leninsky in the territory of the Leninsky enlarged rural area, while the village councils were distributed as follows:

  • Bryantsevskiy, Veliyaminovsky, Voronovsky, Klenovsky, Kolychevsky, Konstantinovsky, Krasnopahorsky, Krasnoputsky, Kutinsky, Lagovsky, Lobanovsky, Mikhailo-Yartsevo, Odintsovsky, Mikhailovo-Yartsevo, Odintsovsky, Rastunovsky, Ryazanovsky, Strelkovsky, Synovsky, Synovsky, St. Petersburg moved to Podolsky district.
  • in Serpukhov district - Arneevsky, Balkovsky, Buturlinsky, Vasilyevsky, Glazovsky, Kalinovsky, Korgashinsky, Lipitsky, Lukyanovsky, Nefedovsky, Syanovsky and Turovsky village councils;
  • Chekhov district - Antropovsky, Barantsevsky, Bulychevsky, Kudayevsky, Kulakovsky, Lyubuchansky, Meschersky, Molodinsky, Novoselkovsky, Rogovsky, Stremilovsky, Khodaevsky, Chepelevsky and Sharapovsky village councils;
  • in Leninsky district - Bulatnikovsky, Volodarsky, Gorkinsky, Desenovsky, Kartinsky, Mikhailovsky, Molokovsky and Sosensky village councils.
