Born November 26, 1986 in Kizilyurt . By nationality, the Dargin [1] . At eight years old his father brought him to the boxing section. But Magomedov preferred playing sports, so he soon switched to football . In his youth, he joined the adult team of the Kizilyurt "Motorist". Then Magomedov went in for karate , and after that - in Thai boxing .
He was drafted into the army. He served in the missile forces , first in Yekaterinburg , and then in Irkutsk . He passed the selection in the special forces , where he served for four years and rose to the rank of senior lieutenant . Then he began to participate in hand- to -hand combat competitions for military personnel. After one of these competitions, I received an invitation from the president of the MMA Academy club to move to Moscow and engage in professional fights.
He took part in the filming of the television series "Friendship of Peoples" on TNT .

UFC exception
Ruslan Magomedov was expelled from the UFC in 2019 by the decision of the USADA , for a triple violation of the anti-doping policy, and the fighter received a lifelong suspension for engaging in this sport in the United States. The reason was the use of steroids. [2]
The first test the Russian athlete failed on September 17, 2016, caught using a selective modulator of androgen receptor androgen ostarin and received a suspension of two years.
In October 2018, traces of several metabolites, methyltestosterone and stanozolol, were found in his body.
On February 5, 2019, USADA tried to test Magomedov again, but he refused to take tests, which served as the reason for the lifelong disqualification.
