Biography

Airlie Alcazar began his career in the capital's Millionarios. In 2000, he went for the first time to compete abroad at Cienciano, where he flashed performance, scoring 11 goals in 18 matches of the championship of Peru . He returned to his homeland for a short time, where he spent the season at the Junior from Barranquilla, and in 2001 played for the Peruvian Sporting Crystal.

In 2004, Alcazar signed a contract with current Colombian champion Onse Caldas. On July 16, 2004, in the second semifinal match of the Libertadores Cup against São Paulo , Alcatraz opened the scoring in the 27th minute. After 5 minutes, the Brazilian club scored the return goal, but Jorge Agudelo scored the second goal in the 90th minute, which led the Colombian team to the final [1] . As a result, Onse Caldas managed to beat the Argentinean Boca Juniors and become the second Colombian club after Atlético Nacional in 1989 , who managed to win the Libertadores Cup. In Buenos Aires, Alcazar came on as a substitute in the 64th minute instead of Agudelo, and in Manizales Alcazar, on the contrary, came out on the base and was replaced in the 78th minute by the same Agudelo.

In the last match in the history of the Intercontinental Cup, which took place on December 12, 2004, Alcazar came on as a substitute in the 97th minute instead of Elkin Soto . Alcazar scored his penalty shoot-out , but the winner of the UEFA Champions League Porto still prevailed - 8: 7 [2] .

In 2005-2007, Alcazar played in the championships of three countries - Peru, Chile and Mexico . Since 2007, he performed only in Colombia.

On June 10, 2012, Alcazar was injured in a gang attack. Together with their teammate Uniautonoma defender Alex de Avila Montalvo, they approached the girls sitting at a table in a bar, which the group of men there didn’t like. An argument broke out, and a few minutes later a killer rode on a motorcycle, who started shooting at the players. The defender of Uniautonoma was killed on the spot, and Alcazar was taken to the hospital with three bullet wounds [3] . Earley managed to save, but since then the striker has not been able to fully return to big football, although he did not announce the end of his playing career as of 2014 [4] .

In total, on a professional level, in the championships of four countries, Alcazar held 388 matches, in which he scored 107 goals. In the draws of the continental tournaments (the Libertadores Cup, the South American Cup, as well as the Intercontinental Cup) he played 22 matches, in which he scored 2 goals.
