Toponymy: the name from the Evenki ure is a hill; urilen - the village; urilmi - become a camp. During the constant wanderings on this river, the Evenks stopped to rest with the whole camp.

Geography
The village of Uril stands on the left bank of the Ural river (the left tributary of the Amur River ), the Tarmanchukan River flows along the southern outskirts of the village.
The village of Uril is located south of the Amur highway , a distance of about 5 km.
The road to the village of Uril goes east from the regional center of Arkhar along the Amur highway , the distance to Arkhara is about 45 km.
To the east of the village of Uril along the railway there is a highway to the village of Tarmanchukan .

Infrastructure
- Uril station of the Far Eastern Railway , is located 40 km east of Arkhara station.
- The Rachinsky tunnel was built on the stretch of Rachi - Uril (see Khingan tunnels ).
