History
The Azeriolservis women's volleyball team was formed in 2011 under the patronage of the eponymous joint-stock company of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport . In the 2011/12 season, she made her debut in the Super League of the country's volleyball championship and took 6th place among 7 participating teams, winning only twice in 12 matches. The next season, the team was renamed “Baki-Azeryol” and performed much more successfully in the championship, becoming 5th with 10 wins in 24 matches.
In 2013, the fate of the club has undergone major changes. Azeriol (as the team began to be called) was declared the successor to the country's most eminent club - Azerrail (while a team called Azerrail continued to participate in the Azerbaijani Championship and European club volleyball competitions) - and was included in the number of participants in the 2013 / Champions League 14 , the performance in which ended for Azeryol already at the preliminary stage.
The cardinally updated Azeriol finished the preliminary stage of the national championship in 2nd place, having won 13 victories in 15 matches held (the same number as the leader is “Rabita” ), and then outplayed the Igtisadchi playoff semifinal in two matches with the same score 3: 1. And yet, in the final, “Azeriol” could not oppose anything to the leader of the Azerbaijani club volleyball “Rabite”, losing to it three times - 1: 3, 1: 3 and 0: 3.
After the end of the season, Brazilian team head coach Angelo Verchezi was fired, and Alexander Chervyakov was appointed in his place - part-time head coach of the Azerbaijani national team . In the offseason, the composition of Azeriol was almost completely updated, of which only three volleyball players remained - team captain Oksana Kurt (Parkhomenko) , Ksenia Kovalenko and Odina Bayramova. Of the most famous newcomers, it should be noted Serbian J. Bracocevic and E. Nikolic, Bulgarian S. Filipova and L. Kitipova, German L. Durr and Canadian T. Love.
