Tachysurus (lat.) Is a genus of fresh-water ray-finned fish from the family of killer whales , inhabiting Asia and one species in Europe ^[1] .

Content

Description

Adult individuals of the genus grow from 5 to 66 cm ^[1] . They are characterized by one pair of maxillary and two pairs of mandibular antennae and palatine teeth , which can be conical, villous or granular ^[2] . In the gallbladder, myxosporidia Thelohanellus coeli , Kudoa tachysurae , Kudoa bengalensis ^[3] , Thelohanellus auerbachi and Zschokkella platystomusi parasitize ^[4] . Gill parasites are monogenes of Chauhanellus chauhani ^[5] .
