Tachysurus

Tachysurus (lat.) Is a genus of fresh-water ray-finned fish from the family of killer whales , inhabiting Asia and one species in Europe [1] .

Description

Adult individuals of the genus grow from 5 to 66 cm [1] . They are characterized by one pair of maxillary and two pairs of mandibular antennae and palatine teeth , which can be conical, villous or granular [2] . In the gallbladder, myxosporidia Thelohanellus coeli , Kudoa tachysurae , Kudoa bengalensis [3] , Thelohanellus auerbachi and Zschokkella platystomusi parasitize [4] . Gill parasites are monogenes of Chauhanellus chauhani [5] .
