Biography
Born in the village of Bandurovo, Gaivoronsky district, Kirovograd region of the Ukrainian SSR. He graduated from high school.
In November 1973, he was called up for military service in the Airborne Forces in the Baltic. After serving, he decided to remain in the army and in 1977 graduated from the school of ensigns.
Since 1977, he served in the 61st Separate Marine Brigade of the Northern Fleet . He was the platoon commander, foreman, then became an instructor in the airborne service.
On January 10, 1995, he was a participant in the first Chechen war , distinguished himself in the battles to capture Grozny , replaced the wounded platoon commander V.V. Shulyak, and commanded a platoon for almost three weeks. During the storming of the Government House under enemy fire, he organized the removal of the wounded, personally saved several soldiers; being wounded in the leg, remained in service and personally destroyed 5 enemy firing points, including one grenade launcher. In hand-to-hand combat in one of the buildings, he killed three militants. The grenade burst received a second, severe wound - the steel core of the bullet ricocheted from the wall into the thigh [1] , but Grigory remained in battle and destroyed 2 machine gun crews of the militants. Despite his injuries, he agreed to evacuate only after the unit completed the combat mission [2] .
For courage and heroism shown during the performance of a special task, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 20, 1995, senior ensign Zamyshlyak Grigory Mikhailovich was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation.
Since 1996 - in the Marine Brigade of the Caspian Naval Flotilla (Astrakhan). In 2004, he was transferred to the reserve.
He lived in Astrakhan. Since 2004, he worked as a civilian specialist in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the head of the landing camp at the training center of the Marine Brigade of the Caspian Naval Flotilla. In 2006, he was a candidate for deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for the Astrakhan constituency from the party "United Russia" [2] .

Family
Grandfather - Stepan Vasilievich, fought in the First World War. Father is a fighter of the 7th Marine Brigade. The son - senior sailor Alexander Zamyshlyak served [4] in the 876th separate airborne assault battalion of the Northern Fleet Marine Corps, was transferred to the reserve in 2010 [1] . Wife - Zamyshlyak Antonina Petrovna; daughter - Zamyshlyak-Gamora Elena Grigoryevna: son - Zamyshlyak Bogdan Grigoryevich [1] .
