Mikhail Timofeevich Golovin (born June 23, 1928, Tashla Stavropol district of the Middle Volga region (now Samara region )) is a Soviet machine operator, Hero of Socialist Labor.

Biography
Born into a peasant family. From childhood, he was busy working on a collective farm: helping his mother on a farm, knitting wickers for sheep’s nightmares, hauling straw, herding cows. Since 1942, he worked as a trailer engineer on an older brother's tractor. In 1943, his brother was drafted into the army, and his tractor KhTZ was handed over to Mikhail, who had completed six-month mechanic courses by that time.
In 1949, Mikhail Golovin was drafted into the army, he participated in the restoration of Sevastopol , learned to be a driver. After serving, he returned to his homeland, where he again became a tractor driver of the Zarya collective farm in the Stavropol district of the Kuibyshev region. In 1953, he received a new tractor - tracked DT-54 .
In total, Golovin’s account included more than forty sowing companies, from which he sowed fields they collected more than 30 centners of grain per hectare. Each year he threshed 13-14 thousand centners of grain, which was more than anyone on the collective farm. Skillfully handling equipment, Mikhail Golovin during the years of the eleventh five-year period saved about 300-400 rubles on repairs annually, while working mainly on old equipment, which he himself repaired.
In 1970, the new SK-4 combine harvester entered the collective farm. He was offered by Golovin, who, previously working only on tractors, quickly mastered a new type of equipment, becoming the first to a collective farm working on two machines.
In 1983, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Mikhail Timofeevich Golovin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor. And soon Mikhail Timofeevich received a brand new Niva harvester with a personal inscription: “To the Hero of Socialist Labor, Honored Mechanist of the RSFSR Mikhail Timofeevich Golovin from the RAPO Council”.
Mikhail Golovin was a member of the 18th Congress of the CPSU .
