History

The Avala Ada club was created in December 1998 by a group of basketball enthusiasts who worked at the Avala Ada factory. The basketball club became part of the Avala Ada sports society system, which combined other sports. In the summer of 1999, the club won the championship of Belgrade (summer league) and was able to get into the Second League of Serbia, which was the fourth division. Almost immediately in the 1999–2000 season, the ambitious task was set to go into the third division, with which the team successfully coped.

In the 2000–01 season, the team played in the First League of Serbia, took third place in it and stopped a step away from a promotion. In the 2001–02 season, the team again became the third. In the 2002-03 season, the club was again unable to enter the First League, however, through a series of playoffs, took part in the First League B draw, defeating the Zeta and Vrbas teams. In the status of the First League B team (Serbian group) of the 2003–04 season, “Avala Ada” finished the third season without receiving a promotion. Before the start of the 2004–05 season, the team changed significantly, first of all, the sports agency BeoBasket began to manage the team. Following the results of the 2004–05 season, the team got the opportunity to play in the top division of Serbia. In December 2005, the team changed its name to Mega Basket. In the same period, a sponsorship contract was signed with Iskhrana ( Smederevo ). Due to sponsorship reasons, the team in 2005–07 was called “Mega Ishrana”. In the 2007–08 season, the team changed its name to Mega Aqua Monta; in 2008–09, Mega Hypo Leasing.

Before the start of the 2009–10 season, the Mega Hypo Leasing and Vizura teams were merged, and the new team was called Mega Vizura.
