Biography
Sergey Polynsky was born on September 16, 1981 in the city of Sestroretsk . He began to actively engage in cycling in early childhood, and was trained at the Sisterek Specialized Junior Sports School of the Olympic Reserve. V. Korenkova and at the Tula School of Higher Sportsmanship, at different times trained under the guidance of such specialists as N. K. Degtyarev, T. A. Alekseeva, S. V. Solovyev, P. I. Rybin, A. A. Tolomanov. He is in the physical education and sports society " Dynamo ".
First joined the Russian national team in 2000, in 2003 and 2004 he became the champion of Russia in track cycling [1] . The first serious success at the international level was achieved in 2005, when in the team sprint he won a bronze medal at the World Cup stage in Moscow. Thanks to a series of successful performances, he won the right to defend the honor of the country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing - participated in the programs of the keyrin and men's team sprint, in the first case won the twenty-first place, in the second the twelfth.
After the Beijing Olympics, Polynsky remained in the main team of the Russian national team and continued to take part in major international races. So, in 2011, he won the team sprint at the World Cup stage in Germany. At the same time, he repeatedly became one of the prize-winners of the All-Russian Championships: in sprint, geeta and keirin [2] .
He has a higher education, graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Physical Culture named after PF Lesgaft (now the National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health named after PF Lesgaft ). For outstanding sporting achievements, he was awarded the honorary title “ Master of Sports of Russia of International Class ” [3] .
