Biography
Akhanov Zhagifar Ualsherovich was born on March 8, 1931 . In the village of Baigakum, Yany-Kurgan district, Kyzyl-Orda region, in the family of the chairman of the Kazpotrebsoyuz, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, a labor veteran.
In 1950, he graduated from the Kazakh secondary school named after 14 years of October.
From 1950 to 1953 he was a student at the Almaty Institute of Law, from 1953 to 1955 he worked as a senior pioneer leader, a teacher of history at the Dzhambul secondary school in Almaty.
From 1955 to 1960, a student of the historical and philological faculty of KazPI named after Abay.
From 1960 to 1962, a history teacher at secondary schools. Lomonosov, Pushkin in the Chiyili district of the Kyzyl-Orda region, from 1962 to 1963, executive secretary of the society "Knowledge" of the Chiyili region.
From 1963 to 1966 he was an instructor in the organizational-party department of the Communist Party of the Chilei District Committee.
From 1966 to 1968 he was the head of the party organization department of the Yana-Kurgan District Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan of the Kyzyl-Orda Region.
From 1968 to 1972, head of the first department of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. From 1972, scientific secretary of the Commission on the History of Science and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1983 he defended his thesis on "Science of Soviet Kazakhstan in the conditions of developed socialism."
For the first time in the republic, the scientific research of Zh. A. Akhanov is devoted to the history of science and technology in the republic. Studying the heritage of K. I. Satpayev, for the first time in the republic he organized and conducted the Satpayev Readings and published the book Satpayev K. I. Selected Articles on Science and Culture, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of the first president, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
