Penza Artillery Engineering Institute (PAII VA MTO) is a Russian higher military educational institution . It specializes in the training and retraining of military engineers and specialists for missile forces and artillery , as well as institutions and organizations of the State Aviation Administration in the specialties "Means of destruction and ammunition" and "Armament and military equipment, military complexes and systems" [1] .

Since 2012, it is a branch of the Military Academy of Logistics of the Name of the Army General A.V. Khrulyov . Certificate of State Accreditation: Series B No. 000162; registration number 1606 of July 16, 2004.
History
- June 26, 1943: By order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 389, the Higher Officer Artillery and Technical School (VOATSH) was established;
- July 10, 1946: relocation of the school from the city of Tula to the city of Penza ;
- August 26, 1958: by order of the USSR Minister of Defense No. 0151 of 08/26/1958, pursuant to Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of August 6, 1958 No. 876-411, the Penza Higher Artillery Engineering School was established on the basis of the Central Artillery and Technical Officer Courses by October 1, 1958 the number of variable composition of 1,500 people with a training period of 5 years;
- 1968: the school receives the honorary name Penza Higher Artillery Engineering Order of the Red Star School named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N. N. Voronov (PVAIU);
- 1998: By Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1009 dated August 29, 1998 [2] the school was reorganized into the Penza Artillery Engineering Institute ;
- 2002: By the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 807 dated November 11, 2002 [3] the institute was returned its honorary name, after which it becomes the Penza Artillery Engineering Institute named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N. Voronov (PAII);
- 2009: on the basis of Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 24, 2008 No. 1951-r [4] , the PAII is liquidated as an independent educational institution and is included as an institution in the Military Training and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces " Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation " ( Moscow );

- 2010: according to the Decree of the Government of Russia dated November 11, 2009 No. 1695-p [5] , the PAII from the institute as part of the academy was reorganized into the branch of the Military Training and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces "Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation" (VUNTS SV "OVA VS RF ");
- July 1, 2012: By order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation No. 610 dated March 23, 2012, the Penza Artillery Engineering Institute named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N. N. Voronov (branch) is removed from the composition of the Military Research Center of the Internal Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and joins as a Penza branch Military Academy of Logistics, named after Army General A.V. Khrulyov (VA MTO). The Charter of the Academy, approved by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation on September 8, 2015 , for the former PAII named after N. N. Voronova established the following names [6] :

- On November 17, 1945, the merits of the WATSH were awarded the Order of the Red Star ;
- By order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR No. 166 of June 25, 1968, in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Chief Marshal of Artillery N. N. Voronov , PVAI was given the honorary name "named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery N. N. Voronov" [7] ;
- By the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation of June 7, 2003, the PAII was awarded the pennant of the Ministry of Defense of Russia "For Courage, Military Valor and Military Training."
