Dyapkar (tributary of Angarakan)

Dyapkar - a river in Buryatia , flows in the west of the Muy district near the border with the North Baikal region . The mouth of the river is 5 km on the left bank of the Angarakan River [2] [3] .

Title

Possible origins of the name [4] :

  • from the Evenk. dyapkar - “gorge, mountain depression” ;
  • from the Evenk. dyapka - “shore, coastline” .

Hydrography

The length of the river is 17 km [2] .

It flows from a group of small mountain lakes in the southern part of the North Mui Range at an altitude of approximately 1600 meters above sea level . In the upper and middle reaches, the main direction of the current is northeast, in the lower - north. It flows into Angarakan on the left side at an altitude of approximately 650 meters above sea level, northeast of the Kovokta railway station. Near the mouth, Diapkar crosses the bridge of the Baikal-Amur Railway [5] [6] [7] .

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Angara-Baikal basin district , the water sector of the river is the Basins of small and medium tributaries of the middle and northern parts of Lake Baikal .
