In 24, Aviola served as consul-suffice along with Publius Cornelius Lentulus Scipio . In the 37/38 year he was on the post of proconsul of the province of Asia . Perhaps it should be identified with the legate of Lugdun Gaul, Atzilius Aviola, who pacified the unrest in his province caused by the rebellion of Julia Flora and Julia Sacrovira [1] .
