Theia is a village in the Grigoriopol district of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic . The administrative center of the Teysky village council , which in addition to the Teya village also includes the Tokmazeya village.

Geography

The area of the village is about 2.22 km ² , the perimeter is 7.41 km. The village is located at a distance of 33 km from the city of Grigoriopol and 72 km from Chisinau .

Population

According to 2011, 1907 people lived in the village of Teia. For 2015 - 1,509 people. ^[3]

History

The first documented mention of the village of Teia is dated 1711 .

In the Soviet period , the board of the Patria collective farm was located here. An eight-year school, a club with a film installation, a library, an atelier for public services, a post office, a kindergarten, a shop and a cafe were opened in the village.

Zeltser, Veniamin Yakovlevich (1927) - Moldavian scientist in the field of mechanization of viticulture, doctor of technical sciences.
