Geography
Oran Bulg is located on the northern slope of one of the Khamurovs of the Yergenin upland, 2 kilometers east of the village of Orgakin (the center of SMO).
History
Date of establishment of the settlement is not installed. As a road station, Oran-Buluk is mentioned in the Memorial Book of the Astrakhan Province in 1914 [2] . Under the double name Badzhinkinovsky (Oran-Buluk), the settlement is marked on the German map of the vicinities of Elista in 1941 [3] . On the map of the USSR General Staff of 1985, the settlement is listed under the name Orgakin [4] . Apparently, the original name Oran Bulg was returned in the early 1990s.
