Kotovka (Transnistria)

Kotovka is a village in the Grigoriopol district of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic . Together with the village of Karmanovo and the villages of Mocharovka and Fedoseyevka, it is part of the Karmanovsky Village Council .

Geography

The village is located at a distance of 20 km from the city of Grigoriopol and 73 km from Chisinau .

Population

According to 2001 data , 230 people lived in the village of Kotovka.

History

The village of Kotovka was founded in 1924 on the site of the deserted German farm Klein-Bergdorf.

In the Soviet period , a branch of the veterinary state farm-technical school "Karmanovo" was organized here. An elementary school, a club with a film installation, a kindergarten, and a store were opened in the village.
