Location
It is located 80 kilometers northwest of the city of Krasnokamensk .
History
In 1932, the Voroshilovsky State Farm was formed. In 1935, work began on the breeding of fine-fleeced sheep, in 1956 the state farm was recognized as one of the best in the country in this area of work. In 1959, the state farm was reorganized into the State Pedigree Plant named after Karl Marx.
In 1966, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of the central estate of the Karl Marx state farm was renamed Kovyli [3] .
In the 2000s, the economy is engaged in grain farming, developed processing industry. In 2001, at the All-Russian exhibition of breeding animals in the Stavropol Territory, the sheep of the economy were awarded a gold medal, and a sheep - silver. In 1989, the population was 1583 people, in 2002-1497 people.
