The four-story hotel building with a restaurant and shops on the ground floor was built in 1910 according to the project of Moscow engineer M. Furmanov. During the construction, the author provided for the use of almost all the novelties in the field of construction of multi-storey buildings. For example, ribbed reinforced concrete slabs were used for floors. Also, one of the first passenger and freight elevators in Voronezh was mounted in the building.
