Kolesov, Yakov Sergeevich

Yakov Kolesov was born on June 19, 1908 in the Nizhny Novgorod province . He began to work with 17 years. In 1928 he graduated from the Water Military College, and in 1934 he graduated from the Faculty of Technology of the Gorky Institute ^[1] .

October 28, 1941 was called up for military service. He held the following posts: from October 18, 1941 to February 13, 1942 he was a member of the Military Council of the 1st Shock Army of the Western Front, from February 12, 1942 to July 15, 1942 he was a member of the Military Council of the Crimean Front], from July 15, 1942 to November 16, 1942 - Member of the Military Council of the military hospital of the city of Kuibyshev, from November 16, 1942 to June 30, 1948 he served as deputy head of the political department of the Main Directorate of Logistics of the Red Army . He became a student of the K.E. Voroshilov Higher Military Academy on June 30, 1948 ^[1] .

He was appointed a member of the Military Council of the 3rd Army on September 8, 1955 . On February 4, 1958 he was appointed head of the political department, and from May 28, 1959 he became secretary of the party committee of the K.E. Voroshilov Military Academy. He was transferred to the Military Topographical Directorate of the General Staff of the USSR Armed Forces as deputy head of the department on March 6, 1966 . March 6, 1971 he was fired in the reserve troops due to illness. He died on January 28, 1975 . He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow . He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner , the Order of Lenin , the Order of Kutuzov 1st degree , the Order of the Red Star , the Order of the Red Banner of Labor ^[1] .
