Krepida (krepidoma) ( Greek krepis - base) - a supporting wall built around the perimeter of the mound .
In Eurasian mounds, crepe traditionally forms a stone wall up to 2 meters high. For masonry, local materials are usually used (the most common is limestone ), but there are cases when material for construction was delivered over tens of kilometers [1] .
