Women's European Hockey Championship 2007 - 8th draw of the European Field Hockey Championship among women's national teams. The tournament was held from August 18 to 25, 2009 at the Belle Vue Regional Hockey Center stadium in Manchester ( England ) (at the same time the European Championship for men was also held there).

The championship was also a qualification tournament for the selection of participants in field hockey competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . Qualification went to the teams that took the first three places.
The winners of the championship (for the first time in their history) were the German national team , who defeated the Netherlands in the final with a score of 2: 0. The national team of England became the bronze medalist of the championship, having beaten the Spanish national team with a score of 3: 2 in the match for 3rd place.

Group C (for 5th place)
The teams that took 3rd and 4th places in the games in groups “A” and “B” played in the second stage for the final distribution of places from 5th to 8th. Teams that took 7th and 8th places as a result of these games were sent in 2009 to the lower division of the European draw, EuroHockey Nations Trophy . If the teams played among themselves in groups “A” or “B”, then there were no additional games between them, and the results of these games were automatically taken into account in the table for group “C”.
