Biography
Like many Serbian architects of his time, he was educated in Vienna, the center of 19th century architecture.
Representative of post- romanticism in Serbian architecture, who managed to combine traditional Serbian style with Neo-Byzantine.
The best work of S. Ivachkovich, according to the official journal of the Serbian Orthodox Church “Pravoslavlje”, is the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Pancevo , built in 1877 and the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker at the New Cemetery in Belgrade (1893).
