Paul Mario Day ( born Paul Mario Day ; born April 19, 1956, Whitechapel , East London ) - British singer, vocalist of the original line-up of the band Iron Maiden from 1975 to 1976 [1] .

Career
Between 1975 and 1976, Paul was the first vocalist for Iron Maiden . On the DVD edition of the Iron Maiden The Early Days documentary, it was noted that the reason for Day’s dismissal from the group was “his lack of charisma” [2] . He was replaced by Dennis Wilcock .
Since 1986, Paul has lived in Australia and has been the lead vocalist for two bands based in Newcastle , New South Wales . He was the songwriter and vocalist of Defaced and Crimzon Lake [3] , which soon split up. He later formed More , which performed at the Donington Monsters of Rock Festival in 1981 [4] . From 1983 to 1984 he was the vocalist of the band Wildfire [5] . In 1986, as the lead vocalist for The Sweet , he recorded a live album at the London Marquee Club .
