Mael Duyne belonged to the septum Kenel Mike Erke . He was the son of King Ailech Mael Fitrich of Mac Aedo , who died in 630. ^{[2] [3]} After Fergus Krundmail 's death in 668 from the septum Kenel Feradayg, Mael Duin himself gained power over Ailech. Although the treatise “ Laud Synchronisms ” endowed Mael Duin with eleven years of government, this monarch held the throne until 681 years ^[4] .
