All that is known about Emilian is that in 259 he held the post of ordinary consul with Pomponius Bass . For a long time, Emilian was identified with the proconsul of Asia Nummi Emilian Dexter , known from the same Spanish inscription [1] . It was later discovered that Dexter lived at the end of the 4th century .
