Aviapark is a shopping and entertainment center located in Moscow on the Khodynsky field . It was opened on November 28, 2014 [4] . The total area is 390,000 m², the sales area is 230,000 m² [5] , which makes it the largest in Europe in terms of total area and second in lease area after the shopping center in London [6] [7] . In 2019, the shopping center has 386 stores and 73 restaurants, as well as 33 entertainment venues [2] .

General Information
The shopping complex is located on the territory of the Khodynka field, on the site of the former Central Airfield named after MV Frunze and the first Moscow airport. The first stone of the future shopping complex was laid on November 8, 2012 [8] . It was put into operation on November 28, 2014 (although most stores only started operating on Monday December 1).
Investments in Aviapark amounted to about $ 1.4 billion. The main shareholders are Jeykhun Aslanov and Igor Rotenberg [5] . The project developer is the AMMA Development company, which was founded in 2007 by investor Mikhail Zayts and top managers of IKEA / MEGA Property Russia, who participated in the creation of the Mega shopping center chain [9] . The general contractor for the construction is Renaissance Construction [10] .
A shopping complex can provide space for more than 500 stores; anchor tenants: Auchan , OBI , Hoff , Stockmann, M.Video and the Karo movie theater with 17 halls - the second largest in Russia [11] . In the central atrium there is an aquarium four stories high with tropical fish [5] . The first children’s theme park in the KidZania global network operates in Aviapark [12] .
The Aviapark shopping and entertainment center has the second highest cylindrical aquarium in the world [13] . The aquarium is 23 meters high and 6 meters in diameter accommodates 370,000 liters of sea water, and about 2,500 fish swim in it [14] .
Near the mall is the metro station “ CSKA ”, opened in February 2018.
In August 2018, right next to the shopping center, a new city park “ Khodynskoe Pole ” was opened, designed by the Italian architectural bureau Land Milano [15] [16] .
