Biography
Born October 18, 1996 in the urban-type settlement of Aleksandrovka (Voznesensky district) , Nikolaev region .
He started playing chess at the age of three. In 2001 he took part in the competition for the first time. Since 2002, he studied under the guidance of coach Roman Khaetsky [1] .
After graduating from the Alexander secondary school, he entered the National University of Shipbuilding named after Admiral Makarov .
World champion among juniors under 18 (2014) [2] .
In 2016, he won the Bronstein Memorial .
One of the strongest players rated chess.com in the category “Bullet” (up to 3 minutes per game) [3] .
In 2018, Alexander traveled to the United States and, together with his wife, Eugenia, Bortnik opened the Bortnik school of chess chess school.
