Murad Magomedkhanovich Machayev ( December 3, 1986 , Makhachkala ) is a Russian sambo wrestler and a fighter of mixed style , performing in the light weight category. Prize-winner of the championships of Russia and major international tournaments, master of sports. As a professional fighter, MMA has appeared in many well-known organizations, including Dare, Fight Nights, Bellator . Represents the Moscow sports club "Fortress".

Biography
Murad Machayev was born on December 3, 1986 in Makhachkala , Republic of Dagestan . He studied at Makhachkala Lyceum No. 51, in his childhood he was actively involved in freestyle wrestling , at the age of twenty years while studying in the third year of university he decided to go to Sambo.
He achieved the first serious success in 2007, when he became the silver medalist of the championship of the Southern Federal District in combat sambo. A year later, he was third in the Russian Championship, a year later he made his debut in mixed martial arts, played in pankration tournaments. In the season of 2010, he won bronze at the All-Russian Sambo Championship and silver at the A. A. Kharlampiev memorial tournament. At the same time, he joined the promotional company Fight Nights and began to participate in their Battle of Moscow tournaments. In 2012, he won the bronze medal again in the standings of the Russian Championship in Combat Sambo , spoke at the European Championship, but because of the injury he was not able to win among the winners (in one of the matches he missed a blow to the head and got a broken nose).
By the fall of 2012, Machaev had nine victories in mixed martial arts without a single defeat, thanks to which he received an invitation to take part in the seventh tournament season of the prestigious American organization Bellator . In the quarterfinal bout, the light weight division grand prix met with Pole Marcin Held and lost to him by controversial close decision (29β28, 29β28, 29β28) [1] . In the next fight, he scored a landslide victory over points over American Laurent Nelson (30β27, 30β27, 30β27), however, Bellatorβs management did not renew his one-year contract with him, finding the fights with his participation insufficiently spectacular. Subsequently spent several successful matches in Russia, became the winner of the tournament Fight Nights in Thailand [2] [3] .
In February 2016, at the Fight Nights Global 44, by unanimous judicial decision, defeated Alexander Sarnavsky . It later turned out that Machaev had come to this fight with a concussion - a week earlier in training he had missed a strong blow to the head, as a result of which he was knocked out and could not stand up for a long time. For concealing an injury, the organization fined him 300 thousand rubles [4] .
He has a higher education, in 2009 he graduated from Dagestan State Agrarian University , where he studied at the Faculty of Economics - at the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit.
