Paul Eugene Albert Annspach ( fr. Paul Eugène Albert Anspach , April 1, 1882 - August 28, 1981 ) - the famous Belgian fencer of Jewish origin, Olympic champion, founder and president of the International Fencing Federation.

Born in 1882. In 1906 he participated in the founding of the Belgian Olympic Committee . In 1908 he took part in the Olympic Games in London , where he managed to win a bronze medal in the team championship in fencing with swords. In 1912, at the Olympic Games in Stockholm, became the champion in both the individual and team championships with swords. In 1913, he participated in the creation of the International Fencing Federation and became its general secretary. In 1914 he was secretary of the Paris Olympic Congress, took part in the development of the rules of the Olympic fencing competitions.
In 1920 he took part in the Olympic Games in Antwerp , where he won a silver medal in the team. In 1924 at the Olympic Games in Paris, he repeated this result. In 1932-1950 he was president of the International Fencing Federation. In 1951, Paul Anspach became the first laureate of Prize Taher Pasha, founded by a member of the NOC of Egypt Taher Pasha and annually awarded by the International Olympic Committee.
In 1976, Paul Anspach was awarded the Silver Olympic Order .
