History
Hiroyuki Imaichi and Masahiko Otsuka founded Trigger in 2011 shortly after leaving Gainax [1] . The name of the studio and the official website were disclosed in October 2011 [2] . In addition to assisting in the production of various TV series, the studio released the short film Little Witch Academia [3] and the anime Kill la Kill , which was released from October 2013 to March 2014 [4] [5] . On July 8, 2013, Trigger launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the second episode of Little Witch Academia. The project achieved its goal of $ 150,000 in less than 5 hours, eventually collecting $ 625,518 [6] . On March 11, 2014, it was announced that the studio will be engaged in the adaptation of Inоб-Battle wa Nichijō-kei no Naka de .
