The village of Truby is located on the Valdai Hills , 10 km east of the village of Uglovka , 32 km south-east of the town of Okulovka .

History
In the XV — XVII centuries. Trubaha village was located in the Piros pogost [6] of Derevskoy Pyatiny, Novgorod Land . [7] [8]
In the middle of the XV century the village of Trubaha belonged to the noble Novgorod Boris and Konstantin Mikitin. [9] In the 1480s it was the property of Grand Duke Ivan III . In 1495, the village was owned by the okolnichy of the Grand Duke Peter Loban Grigorievich Zabolotsky [7] [8] In the middle of the XVI century, the village was owned by his children and grandchildren. In 1927-1954 the village of Truby belonged to the Bolshe-Krestovsky Village Council . In 1954 she became a member of the Selischensky Village Council. In 1965, the village council was renamed Zvansky [13] . In 2005, the village of Truby became part of the Uglovsky urban settlement .
