History
The village of Streams is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [2] .
RUCHI - the village belongs to the young girls Aprelev, the number of inhabitants according to the audit: 16 m., 18 w. paragraph [3] . (1838)
The Brooks Village is marked on the map of F. F. Schubert of 1844 [4] .

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Domozhirovsky volost of the 3rd camp of the Novoladozhsky district of St. Petersburg province.
According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Ruchey was part of the Besonovsky rural society [7] .
In 1917, the village was part of the Domozhirovsky volost of the Novoladozhsky district.
From 1919 to 1923, the village of Ruchey was part of the Besson village council of the Pasha Volost of the Volkhov district .
Since 1923, as part of the Ruciansky village council.
Since 1924, as part of the Pasha Village Council.
Since 1927, as part of the Pash district . In 1927, the population of the village of Ruchey was 109 people [8] .
According to 1933, the village of Streams was part of the Pash village council of the Pash district of the Leningrad region [9] .
Since 1955, as part of the Novoladozhsky district .
In 1958, the population of the village of Ruchei was 81 people.
Since 1963, as part of the Volkhov district [8] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Ruchey was also part of the Pash village council of the Volkhov district [10] [11] [12] .

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district, west of the highway 41K-021 ( Pasha - Chasovenskoye - Kayvaksa ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 4 km [15] .
The distance to the nearest Pasha railway station is 3 km [10] .
The village is located on the left bank of the Pasha River.
