After the death of Louis of Hungary , who occupied the Polish throne under a treaty with Casimir the Great, in 1382 , Zemovit Mazowiecki, using the unrest in the country, because it was not known which of the daughters of Louis would take the throne, and the absence of any government tried to take Polish by force the throne, finding support in the Wielkopolska gentry , dissatisfied with the rule of the Lesser Poland in the reign of Louis. However, his attempt ended in failure; his second plan failed - to capture Jadwiga on her way to Krakow .
