2012 Russian Classic is the first ever open-air VHL regular season match that took place on February 17, 2012 between the Krasnoyarsk Falcon and the Yaroslavl Locomotive . The match was held at the Central Stadium of the city of Krasnoyarsk.

With a maximum stadium capacity of 22,500 people, 16,100 spectators attended the match, which is a record for Russia in the number of spectators in one match.
The game ended with the victory of the “Locomotive” 3: 2.
This match was dedicated to hockey players and coaches of the Yaroslavl Locomotive who died in a plane crash on September 7, 2011 .
