Loop isothermal amplification ( L oop mediated isothermal amplification, LAMP) is a DNA amplification technique in a single tube [1] . The LAMP method allows molecular diagnostics to be significantly cheaper and faster compared to PCR . When diagnosing RNA viruses, the LAMP method allows reverse transcription and amplification in a single tube, without fluid transfer.
