Biography
A personnel officer, in the Red Army since January 1935 [2] , was called up in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow Region [3] . He participated in the liberation of Western Ukraine and Belarus in 1939, in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. Russian, member of the CPSU (b) since 1940 [2] . He participated in the Great Patriotic War from June 22, 1941 [2] . He received two minor injuries [2] - in September 1941 during the battles on the river. Gums and in November of the same year near Maloyaroslavets [4] . In 1942 he was the commander of the division of the 517th artillery regiment of the RGK with the rank of major [3] , in 1943 he was the rank of lieutenant colonel chief of staff [5] , then deputy commander for the combat unit [6] of the 39th gun artillery regiment of the RGK. He participated in the liberation of Grodno in July 1944, being the commander of the 41st guards corps artillery regiment of the RGK. By order of the Bet of Regiment commanded by Guards. Lieutenant Colonel S. A. Zernov, distinguished himself in the Mogilev operation during the crossing of the Dnieper and the seizure of the cities of Mogilev, Shklov, Bykhov, was named Verkhnedneprovsky [7] .
He died near Gdynia on March 9, 1945 during the breakthrough of the enemy defense in the area of Skurts and the capture of Preisish Stargard as part of the 2nd shock army of the 2nd Belorussian Front; at the observation post of the regiment during the battle he was mortally wounded by a shell fragment. Posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War I degree [2] . First buried in the city of Starogard of the Gdansk Voivodeship [8] , then in a mass grave in the city park named after J.-E. Zhelyber in Grodno [9] .
