Description
The basis of the project is a series of photo exhibitions “Material Evidence”, which represent the work of a group of independent photojournalists from Europe, America and Africa. Materials for the expositions were collected during the expeditions of correspondents to Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, Afghanistan. In addition to unique frames, many artifacts captured on them were removed from the conflict zones. They were not only complement the exposure, but also confirm the authenticity of the images. The project does not have a permanent location - the exposition is annually updated and exhibited in different cities of Europe and the USA.
The exhibits include photographs [1] and material evidence of the tragic events taken from the combat zone [1] [2] . The exhibits are collected by journalists and photographers who repeatedly traveled to combat zones [3] [4] , including Andrei Stenin , who died near Donetsk [5] .
The main goal of the Material Evidence project is to inform the world community about events in countries experiencing military conflicts. Subsequently, the project “Material Evidence” formed the basis of the journalistic movement “ Association of Journalists in the Struggle for Peace ” (“AJKF”). The goal of AJKF is to support and provide assistance in the form of providing advice, grants and educational programs for journalists defending the media’s professional credo: providing reliable, undistorted information about current events.
