Geography
Located on the river. Siznaleike, 20 km from the district center and 18 km from the railway station Nuya.
Etymology
Name - anthroponym: old - from the nickname or surname of Sobakin , mentioned in act documents from the 2nd half of the 14th century .; new - in honor of the biologist I.V. Michurin .
History
In place of modern Michurin in 1513, the disgraced prince Y. Kruglov founded the Kruglyaya Polyana farm from 11 yards. After his death, the farm passed into the possession of the service Tatars, the Dogaev brothers. It is noted in the archival documents of Prince E. Krinitsyn, “Service Tatars” (1643). In the "List of Populated Places of the Simbirsk Province" (1863) Michurino (Sinezleika) - a specific village out of 67 yards of the Ardatov district . In 1867 a church was built and a parish school was opened. In 1929-1930 the collective farm "Gardener" was formed, since 1992 - SKHPK. In the modern infrastructure of the village there is a secondary school, a cultural center, a post office, shops.
