Nikogos Balyan is also Nigogos Balyan ( Armenian Նիկողոս Բալյան , tour. Nigoğos Balyan ; 1826, Istanbul - 1858, Istanbul ) is an Ottoman architect from the famous Armenian dynasty of architects Balyan .

Biography
Born in 1826 in Istanbul. The eldest of the four sons of the architect Karapet Balyan [1] and his wife Nazeni Babayan. The brothers Sarkis , Hakob, and Simon were also architects. Nikogos and Sarkis studied together at the Paris Art Lyceum, but due to illness Nikogos were forced to return to Istanbul [2] . Here Nikogos took up his own projects, helped his father and brother, and also opened a school of architects, in which he taught techniques of Western architecture.
Nikogos died in Istanbul at the age of 32 from typhoid fever . The son of Nikogos, Levon , continued the work of his father.
