The House of Representatives ( Burmese ပြည်သူ့ လွှတ်တော် , pithu khluto ) is the lower house of the Assembly of the Union , the highest legislative body of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar .

The first elections were held in 2010 [1] . At the first meeting, on January 31, 2011, Shwe Man was elected Chairman of the House of Representatives [2] .
The second election of 2015 was won by the opposition party National League for Democracy , it owns 238 out of 440 seats [3] .
Structure
According to the Constitution of Myanmar , the House of Representatives consists of 440 deputies, of which 330 are directly elected by citizens from 330 settlements of the country, and 110 are appointed by the commander of the armed forces [4] [5] .
