Comb anolis [1] ( lat. Anolis cristatellus ) is a species of lizards from the anolis family.

The total length reaches 10-18 cm. Males are usually slightly larger than females. The head is large and elongated. The trunk is laterally compressed, the tail is very long and thin. A low ridge stretches along the ridge. Coloring is very variable. Males have a light brown to greenish-gray color with a dark pattern on the back. The neck bag is small, its color varies from olive, yellow or orange to green or mustard with an orange border. The female usually has a pattern on the back of a light longitudinal strip along the spine with dark transverse stripes. According to the main color tone, both sexes may show a pattern of red, brown or beige dots and specks.
Loves the rainforest. Spends all his life in the trees. It is also found on fences, various structures, branches of shrubs and trees. It feeds on insects, spiders, fruits.
Oviparous lizard. The female lays up to 3 eggs.
It lives on the islands of Puerto Rico , Vieques , Culebra and on the Virgin Islands. It was specially imported to Florida (USA), Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
