Salva mea

"Salva Mea" is the debut single of the British electronic group Faithless , released in July 1995. In the same year, the composition hit the dance charts, and in 1996, after the re-release, it took 9th place in the UK. In the USA, “Salva Mea” conquered Hot Dance Club Play twice: in the 96th and in the 97th (in remixed form) [1] .

The album version lasts more than ten minutes and includes Daido's vocals and the characteristic rap Maxi Jazz. Way Out West Remix is ​​part of the re-release of Reverence / Irreverence's debut album, as well as Insomnia: The Best of Faithless .

The version in the video clip (“slow version”) is based on the Faithless track “The Scream”, released in 1994 by samizdat; it is fully trip-hop style and contains longer text.

Sister Bliss in 2010 called “Salva Mea” “strange enough for the 90s”: “... a symphony turning into hip-hop, and then into a swinging house” [2] .

The name of the composition implies “Save Me” in Latin, but actually represents “Save Mine” (“save me” in Latin - “Salvum me fac”).
