Scientific activity
The main direction of scientific activity is the processing of engineering materials . Research is primarily related to the use of concentrated energy flows , such as electrical discharge in a liquid and the energy of a compressed gas .
Developed a methodology for calculating universal cameras [1] ; revealed patterns of plastic deformation of metals under loading; developed the optimal technological modes of material processing depending on the conditions for the effective use of shock waves , hydroflow and quasistatic pressure . Also, Victor Chachin investigated the processes of vibration grinding and abrasive processing methods in active media .
He has published over 200 scientific papers, including 4 monographs. He is also the author of 16 inventions, some of them are patented. Under his leadership, defended more than 10 master's theses.
He was deputy chairman of the section on the use of pulsed loads in mechanical engineering of the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for Science and Technology, actively participated in the work of scientific councils and editorial boards.
Awards and Prizes
- 1980 State Prize of the BSSR for the study of electropulse processing of materials, the development of a set of advanced technologies, the creation of specialized equipment and the introduction of machine-building plants.
- He was awarded the Orders of Lenin (1986), the Red Banner of Labor (1979), and a medal.
Notes
- ↑ Universal chambers are vacuum chambers that are designed to process products of any shape and size within the chamber, are used as a rule in single and small-scale production and are produced in accordance with the accepted parametric series.
