USSR Championship in International Drafts for Men 1984

The XXX USSR Championship in international drafts among men was held in May 1984 in Arkhangelsk according to the round robin system. It was attended by 18 athletes. For the victory, 1 point was given, for a draw ½ points and 0 for defeat.

For the second time in a row, Alexander Dybman became the champion of the country. In second place was Anatoly Gantvarg , in third - the archangelist Alexander Balyakin .

At this championship, three places were played from the Soviet Federation to participate in the 1984 World Drafts World Championship , as the domestic grandmasters V. Virny and A. Gantvarg received the personal right to compete in the World Championships.
