The distance from the village to Cheboksary is 56 km, to the district center 15 km, to the nearest railway station 16 km.

History

The historical name of the village is Kamai.

In the XVIII century the village was a settlement with. Churatchikova , in the XIX century. near the village of Pervaya Churatchikova (now defunct), as part of the Churatchinsky volost of Tsivilsky district .

Residents - Chuvash , until 1866 state peasants ; engaged in agriculture , livestock, home craft. In 1931 the collective farm was formed.

The number of households and residents: in 1795 - 27 households; 1866 - 32 yards, 76 men, 89 women; 1897-123 men, 117 women; 1926 - 66 yards, 150 men, 161 women; 1939-158 men, 162 women; 1979-106 men, 116 women; 2002 - 59 households, 130 people: 64 men, 66 women. 2012 - 64 yards, 142 people.
